DriveImage XML
Because DriveImage is free, we do not offer support for it, however there are plenty of places to find the information you need. Here are a few of them:

I’d also written up a piece on how to automate image creation using DriveImage XML, you can view it at:

One addition I’d like to see though, is the ability to backup/restore the MBR.
It is an excellent program though.

If anyone has VSS problems and finds that the FAQ tips don’t help, this tip may. If you’ve ever installed Microsoft Visio and have since uninstalled it, a leftover registry key may be your problem. I found the solution here – http://forum.storagecraft.com/Community/forums/p/266/991.aspx
To cut a long story short, you might want to look in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex\Catalogs and check if you have for example deinstalled Visio lately. If there is a visio key, delete it and VSS will turn back into workable condition.
Sure enough this worked for me, so if you’re having VSS problems and have uninstalled Visio, give it a try.
